Military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, healthcare workers and teachers in the Tri-Cities who are looking to buy, sell or refinance their homes can receive help from a non-profit organization called Homes for Heroes.
Homes for Heroes is a nationwide rewards program with 1,600 affiliates, including a local team, that provides significant discounts during the home buying, selling and refinancing process through real estate related service providers offering rebates and discounts.

Homes for Heroes makes sure local heroes know how much they are appreciated, that what they do is vitally important to the community and that it doesn’t go unnoticed. Depending on the price of a home, these heroes can save an average of $2,000 when they buy, sell or refinance a home if they work through Express Title.
The organization began after the tragedies that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. A small realtor group decided it wanted to do something for the police officers, firefighters, EMTs who were on the scene in New York City. From there it grew into a nationwide program.
